It is a Friday night, and here I am doing homework. I have that advanced advocacy argument draft due on Sunday at 8pm, and I really don’t want it to take over my entire weekend…
Today was a good day. I met a friend downtown for lunch and outlining, and then we had faculty advising. This advising gave us the opportunity to talk to different professors about classes next semester, how to fit in all of our required classes, the best classes to take for certain career goals, and which class combinations produce a reasonable amount of writing. That last part is certainly a concern for me: in addition to whatever writing is required for my classes, I also will have my law review note and an appellate brief for moot court. It will be just a little busy for me…
Now, I am doing homework. Well, actually, I am writing this blog post, but you get the idea. My goal for the weekend is not to procrastinate like mad, and to actually get ahead of the game. I know I’ve told this story before, but it just has to happen this weekend…I know myself too well to pretend that I will be productive during Halloween weekend, and the work has to get done sometime! I’m thinking tonight I will finish my evidence reading for Tuesday and Thursday, and that will be one fewer class to worry about this week. (We’re pretty behind in that class, so I think I have only another fifteen pages to be done for the week!)
