There is a lot of exciting stuff going on around the law school this week!
The monthly SBA meeting is this Wednesday at 4:30. The entire school is welcome to attend (and there is free food). After the SBA meeting there will be Criminal Law Panel hosted by Delta Theta Phi International Law Fraternity. The panel will include the Honorable Robert Costello, Magistrate in the 36th District Court; Mr. Vince Van Tiem, Law Offices of Vincent T. Van Tiem; Mr. Dennis Shrewsbury, Legal Aid & Defenders Office; and finally Mr. Eric Sterbis, from the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office. This will give students an idea of what it is like to be a practitioner in the Criminal Law field.
Saturday is the annual 5K Race For Justice held at the law school. The money goes to fund fellowships for law students during the summer. If you’re a runner, you should definitely come out. This year the route is supposed to incorporate the boardwalk along the Detroit River! Race starts at 9am if anyone is interested!
