It’s almost the weekend!
Today was a pretty uneventful day. It started off with my contracts class from 9-10:30a. I would usually go to ALTA after that, but it was cancelled today due to conferences. When our wonderful civil procedure TA, Karen, found out that our ALTA classes were cancelled, she offered an additional review session (in addition to the one from 1:30-2:30p) for those of us who wanted to get home early. I took advantage of the early review session, went home and did some property reading, got some lunch and babysat for a couple hours.
I was never one to take advantage of extra review sessions during my undergrad…but in law school, it is almost unthinkable to skip these opportunities. I would say about 90% of the people in my section attend our civpro review each Thursday. It is so helpful to have additional formal review time, and the insight from one of our professor’s former students is invaluable. Karen goes over concepts with us in a very straightforward way, answers questions and gives us exam tips. Now, if only we had formal TA review sessions for all of our classes…
Now I am in the process of making dinner. I still have some more property reading to do tonight and then I will be doing some additional research for my ALTA paper (due next Thursday at 1am). I can’t wait for the weekend…time to catch up on some much needed sleep! (And my weekend will be arriving that much earlier this week because my civpro class tomorrow is cancelled while my professor attends an educational workshop!)
Happy Friday!
