February 23rd, 2010
We interrupt this regularly scheduled blog to bring you…spring break!

Yeah, yeah, I know Michigan is coated in several inches of snow and that February really cannot be considered “spring.” We DO finish our finals at the end of April though, so I guess we are at the midway point of the semester…a nice time for a break.

I am posting to you this week from the oh, so tropical location of Buffalo, New York. One of my best friends goes to SUNY at Buffalo and I am visiting for a few days this week (Tuesday through Friday) for a change of pace. They still have classes this week, so I’m planning to take the time while my friend is in class to visit a couple museums, relax…maybe be a good girl and grab some homework, head to their law library and pretend to be a law student. Oh wait…

Based on what I’ve heard from most of my classmates, it seems like many of them are headed back to their hometowns, rather than out to tropical, party locations. It may be an issue of money, although I suspect it’s that everyone is as worn out as I am, that I’m not the only one who was just looking for a relaxing week to catch up on sleep, get ahead on homework, spend some time being social, get some stuff done around the house, and so on.

I’ve already had such an action-packed break, and it’s only Tuesday! I definitely have a lot that I want to get accomplished this week, and the way things are going, I’d say it’s doable. I have to say though, I am getting pretty antsy for warm weather; I can’t wait until the days when we can walk down to the river between classes, break out the warm weather wardrobe and sit outside in the fresh air while doing homework!
