Greetings from Panera!
It is a beautiful Saturday afternoon, and I am taking full advantage of it by sitting indoors with the blinds drawn (in order to reduce the glare on my computer screen). I’m hoping to spend a few minutes in the sunshine today (even though it’s about 30 some odd degrees out) because let’s face it, months without any sun just stinks. As pleased as I am with my choice to attend UDM Law, there are certainly days where I regret not looking into the University of Hawaii…
I had all sorts of motivation when I work up this morning. I was going to work on revisions to my ALTA paper (we will each be meeting with our ALTA professors this upcoming week, so I want to be able to show her some of what I’ve been working on) and then get all of my reading for Monday finished today and then pick a class to begin outlining tomorrow. So far, I’ve cleaned off my computer desktop, folded some laundry, cleaned off my desk desktop, looked into some summer externship opportunities, transferred pictures to my flash drive to print out…and read a whole two pages of stuff for ALTA. Clearly my mind is elsewhere today.
Are you planning to attend law school in the fall? If so, are your applications complete? If they aren’t, stop reading my blog and finish! It’s getting to the point where application deadlines for many schools are quickly approaching (and with LSDAS, as convenient as it is, it does cause some delays with getting all of your materials to schools), and scholarship funds are slowly drying up. Depending on where you are applying, you’re probably not into crunch time yet…so just apply already so you can stop worrying about it! (I know, easy for me to say as I sit here and procrastinate…but really, the longer you wait with your applications, the fewer your potential options…)
I think at this point, I’m going to get away from my computer, refocus my mind for a bit and then attempt some more homework. Cheerio!
