It feels as though I never leave… 

After my late day on campus yesterday, I have a just-as-late, but longer day today. Today, we had contracts at 9am, followed by ALTA from 11:30-1. Then we have a half hour break between ALTA and our civpro review session at 1:30. It is from this break that I write to you today. That schedule seems pretty reasonable, and in fact, this will be my schedule for the remaining Tuesdays this term. Today though, because we are behind in core concepts, my professor has scheduled a special make-up class…from 4pm-5:30. While I know eventually I will be forced into the real world with at least 8 hour days, while I’m in school taking fifteen credit hours, eight hours at school in one day seems pretty excessive. (I’m hoping today will be the last of our extra core concepts classes…it was pretty frustrating having to bail on my babysitting charges this afternoon with only a week’s notice.) 

Tonight, I have some property reading to do, and I’m hoping to get some time to relax and watch some television as well. After that, I plan on getting to bed early…and look forward to not starting class again until noon tomorrow.

Meagan is a May 2012 graduate of UDM Law. She was admitted to the Michigan Bar in November, and she recently joined the Grand Traverse County Prosecutor’s Office as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney.

During law school, Meagan was active around the School of Law as the Law Review's Executive Editor of Outside Articles and the Vice-President of the St. Thomas More Society. She participated in the Criminal Trial Clinic, and took advantage of two internships with the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office and a summer internship with Judge Stephen Murphy of the Eastern District of Michigan.

In her free time, Meagan also serves as a member of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, enjoys tap dancing, and can't resist reading a good book.
