Blog Entry 2

My day started, as does every other day since I’ve started law school, at 6 am. When my alarm went off I was completely shocked, it felt as though I had just put my head on the pillow. A half hour later I am out the door and on my way downtown to school. I spend my mornings reviewing material for my classes that day just in case I happen to get called on in class. Today was pretty low key, Civil Procedure in the morning, Torts in the afternoon and lots of studying before, in between and after. Although I’d love nothing more than to curl up in bed and sleep until the morning, I still have quite a bit of work to get done.
I’m very excited for tomorrow. For the first time I am attending the Lunch with a Lawyer series. Since the beginning of the semester the school has brought in about 2 lawyers a week, allowing students, in a small group setting, to get to know a practicing lawyer in the area. I’ve learned in law school it is essential to be an active participant is as many things as you can. It is a great opportunity to get to know other students, professors, and practicing attorneys. I’m looking forward to sharing with you all how Lunch with a Lawyer goes tomorrow.
