I have a lot going on, so no long posts for awhile, but here are a few thoughts for the day:
1. I have officially decided that I prefer in-class examinations to take-homes. For me I guess the pressure of sitting there and having to bust out a couple brilliant essays in a matter of three hours is preferable to getting forty eight hours to work on something that would probably only take three hours if I would just stay focused…I know I’m not normal.
2. I have to find some sort of summer employment to complement my unpaid internship. When you pretty much already have a full-time 9–5 job lined up, this is a challenge. With the insane cost of gas though, it is essential that I find some sort of income so that I can afford to drive downtown for my unpaid internship. Messed up? A little, but such is life.
3. Summer classes. I am only taking a single summer class: a one-credit Australian Law class that fulfills my international law requirement. I will devote two days to classes, and then have a month to write a no-more-than-fifteen-page paper. Even though I had no plans to take summer classes, when I saw that I could get my international requirement out of the way this easily, and have one fewer class to worry about during my third year, I jumped at the chance.
I’m now working on my criminal law final exam. There really weren’t any curveballs: I’m pretty sure I can identify the correct issues. It’s just a matter of sitting down and working on it…
