Greetings from 32,000 feet! What a month!
On Sunday, I turned in my final draft of my law review comment…and now I’m finished with most of my big projects. My law review obligations (at least as a junior member…) are basically done. For moot court, I have finished coaching my assigned 1L students for the G. Mennen competition this weekend, so now moot court is done. I have a small writing assignment for my Constitutional Law class, and of course normal coursework and studying for finals, but that’s all!
Now, I am literally on my way to the National Conference of Law Reviews (NCLR) in San Diego with the other three incoming editors. It was an 8:30am flight, so it made for a very early day, but it seems to be going well. I’m hoping the conference will be a good chance to get some ideas based on what other law reviews do, learn some things, meet some people, and it should be a nice opportunity for the four of us to bond as an editorial team.
Somehow, all four of us got seated in random middle seats throughout the plane…kind of makes for a lonely experience, but hopefully that means I’ll have come success with getting some stuff accomplished. I’m trying not to be doing homework the entire trip, but I have some reading for federal jurisdiction to work on, and then some editing to do. The more I get done now, the less I have to do later…
