Just another manic Monday…

Mondays are my longest day of the week; not a great way to kick off each week, I know. Although just as long as any other Monday I’ve had this semester, today has been anything but typical.

It started with the alarm going off after a restless night of not sleeping.  There was a dumpster top slamming noise reoccurring outside all night that made for anything but an ideal night of sleep.  When I finally got up and moving a friend texted me to let me know our morning class was cancelled.  Perfect!

I knew I had a conference scheduled with a professor regarding a brief I am working on and I had yet to make the requested annotations, so instead of speed editing in the 40 minute break I was expected to have, I was able to take my time and put the effort in so that I felt comfortable with my paper when I went to the conference, which actually went really well! I still have a lot of work and a very long way to go, but this brief is surely coming together! 

I’m waiting for my last class of the day, which doesn’t start until 8 pm, and it just about kills me.  My brain is ready to turn off, but it has to stay fully charged for two hours of Evidence.  By the time I get home tonight, I’m usually so tired I can barely see straight.  I have to be at work at 8 a.m. on Tuesdays, so I’m usually racing to bed as quickly as possible to catch some shut eye before starting it all over again tomorrow!
