Let the countdown begin!
In just a short 6 weeks, I will have completed my second year of law school. This is completely INSANE! I cannot describe how fast time is flying. I officially put myself in “finals zone” today which means longer days, less sleep and essentially zero social life until the middle of May. I know it might sound crazy, but I get really excited when this time of the semester comes around. Well, let me clarify, it’s not all excitement and smiles- Anxiety kicks in, I’m completely overwhelmed and stressed out; yet, I love it. Some of you might think I’m crazy, I know.
One thing that has worked to my advantage in law school is that I’ve had trouble sleeping my entire life. I just don’t need as much sleep as other people do. It’s a battle I fought with all my life, but once I reached law school I realized this is a huge asset. If I required 8 hours of sleep (or anywhere near that for that matter) a night, I’d probably have to quit my job because I wouldn’t know how else to make up the hours. I can easily get by on 3 hours of sleep a night and even less, if I need to. If you’re considering law school and are used to getting 8 hours of sleep, I suggest you start training your body now. Sleep is overrated anyways; life is too short to waste time sleeping!
