Last night was the annual Barrister’s Ball, more casually known as law school prom. This year we had it at Motor City Casino. The venue was really beautiful, and with dinner and an open bar, who couldn’t have a good time? This is one event you never want to miss. It’s always a guaranteed successful night. It was a great break from studying, working, and just legal thinking in general!
Unfortunately, my exciting evening out for Barrister’s has left me with no choice but to miss out on the Super Bowl festivities today. This exact same situation happened last year too. Law school forces you to be quite selective with which social events you will go to. Usually law school events get priority, which leaves the rest of my life with a slim chance to none that I will make an appearance. Oh, the sacrifices law students make…
