J.D. - Juris doctor program

Students earn the core J.D., which provides the necessary foundation to pursue a career in law or other professional fields.

Dual J.d. - Canadian & american dual j.d. program

In collaboration with the University of Windsor Faculty of Law, students earn a Canadian J.D. as well as an American J.D. in three years, which would enable them to practice law in Canada and the United States.

J.D./M.B.A. Degree Program

Students earn both a Juris Doctor and a Masters of Business Administration in four years.

 

J.D. Program Flexibility

Detroit Mercy Law has a number of scheduling options for busy graduate students in the core J.D. Program.  After the first year, full- and part-time students may take classes in the day or evening.

Full-Time day Program

30 credits per year for completion in three years

Part-Time Day Program

24 credits per year for completion in four years

Evening Program

24 credits per year for completion in four years

Extended Day or Evening Program

18 credits per year for completion in five years
