Why did you choose UDM Law?

I chose UDM Law because it is in the Heart of Detroit and the legal community.

What do you like best about attending law school in Detroit?

Detroit is home. It is one of the most personable places one can ever live in. Detroit is a city with tons of potential. Even further, what other law school is located on an international waterline. You can literally be in Canada in under ten minutes on a good day.

How would you describe the UDM Law community?

Small. Family like. Awesome.

What have you benefitted from the most at UDM Law?

I have benifitted most from the internship and networking oppurtunities. I have been very fortunate, and to date have not worked one unpaid internship and also have another great summer oppurtunity lined up that is also paid.

What has been your best experience in law school?

My best experience in law school has been the UDM Law Fellowship I recieved to work at a nonprofit organization. My experience at the State APpellate Defender officed was unmatched. I was so privileged to be able to work on a series of Michigan Court of Appeals Cases, a Michigan Supreme Court Case, annd even a United States Supreme Court Case. I was also able to see two innocent men who had been incarcerated for over 25 years for a crime they did not committ. My experience there, which was made possible by UDM Law's Fellowship gave me this oppurtunity as a law student, which I enjoyed and learned a great deal.
