Markeisha Miner - 2013 "Women in the Law."

UDM Law is proud to announce that the Assistant Dean of Career Services and Outreach, Markeisha Miner, has been named by Michigan Lawyers Weekly as a member of the Class of 2013 "Women in the Law." Members of the class are high-achieving women lawyers in Michigan and this is a celebration of their accomplishments.

Assistant Dean Miner will be honored at a September 26, 2013 luncheon at the Detroit Marriott in Troy, where the Woman of the Year — who will be selected by all members of the class — will be announced.

Assistant Dean Miner joined University of Detroit Mercy School of Law as the Assistant Dean of Career Services and Outreach in 2008, overseeing all aspects of career planning and professional development. She earned her B.A., magna cum laude, at Mount Holyoke College and her J.D. at the University of Michigan Law School. After law school, she served as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Anna Diggs Taylor of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and practiced as a commercial litigator in Dickinson Wright PLLC's Detroit office. Assistant Dean Miner is an active participant in several bar, community, and professional organizations including NALP—the Association for Legal Career Professionals. She was recently appointed as NALP's Liaison to the ABA Young Lawyers Division.
