International Business Transactions Law Firm Program - Law (7390)

This course is designed to provide students with an understanding of some of the more important legal considerations arising in international business transactions.

Advanced Corporate Transactions Law Firm Program - Law (7010)

This course is a continuation of the Corporate Transactions LFP course. This portion of the course will cover, among other things, certain agreement provisions, acquisition financing and transfer of both real and personal property.

Advising Entrepreneurs in New Business Start ups Law Firm Program Law (7250)

The purpose of the course is to expose the students to the wide variety of issues that arise when an entrepreneur forms a business entity to develop, manufacture and sell a new product. We will work on issues from pre-formation through early stage financing to the initial creation of a private placement strategy.

Business Planning Law Firm Program - Law (7400)

The course examines the many business, structural, and legal issues involved in the formation, operation, and disposition of a business enterprise. There will be particular emphasis on capital raising activities common to most businesses as they progress from formation to sale or dissolution. These issues will be addressed in written client advice, drafting assignments and in-class presentations.

Law Firm Program: Anatomy of a Business Transaction I (7360)

This course examines the many business, structural, corporate, and governance issues involved in mergers, acquisitions, dispositions and other business transactions.

Law Firm Program: Children & the Law-Child Welfare Proceedings I (7240)

This course will provide students the opportunity to engage in a simulated child welfare proceeding in the juvenile division of a family court.

Law Firm Program: Environmental Law (7130)

This three credit hour course explores providing legal advice on environmental issues to clients concerned with regulatory enforcement or threatened litigation arising from air, water, hazardous waste, or the use and release of toxic substances.

Law Firm Program: Family Law (7080)

This course will give the students the opportunity to take a divorce from complaint to judgment and then work on post-judgment issues. 

Law Firm Program: Health Law (7050)

This course will provide students the opportunity to engage in a simulated corporate health care transaction between a nonprofit hospital and a physician. 

Law Firm Program: Immigration Law (7090)

This course will provide students the background to evaluate the immigration-related impact of a simulated corporate transaction. 

Law Firm Program: Intellectual Property Law (7020)

This course will provide students the opportunity to engage in identifying and addressing various Intellectual Property (IP) issues that will arise in a simulated corporate transaction. 

Law Firm Program: International Commercial Arbitration (7190)

This course will provide the student the opportunity to engage in a simulated international commercial arbitration proceeding from its inception to the issuing of an Award. 

Law Firm Program: Juvenile Justice (7380)

This course will focus on the representation of juveniles charged with delinquent offenses.
