2008 Ford PAS Day at University of Detroit Mercy

Ford Partnership for Advanced Studies (PAS) students from metro Detroit will visit University of Detroit Mercy's McNichols campus on Thursday, May 15, 2008 from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Over 145 students will experience an educational day of science and fun learning about STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) related studies and careers. UDM Employment Success

According to recently released employment statistics, there are only two schools in Michigan with more than a 90 percent employment rate, measured nine months after graduation. The two schools are U of M Law and the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law.

UDM's Legal Writing program also has been ranked among the top 20 in the country for three years in a row. This year, UDM also was placed on a Clinical Honor Roll with four other schools for our expanding clinics in Immigration Law, Mediation, Consumer Protection, and others.

UDM's successes in writing, employment placement, and clinical opportunities underscore its unique model of legal education, integrating the realities of practice with into the classroom. This approach was the recent subject of a National Law Journal article about UDM's Law Firm Program. This model of legal education is bringing national firms from around the country to UDM for student interviews.
