Hello all!
Thank you to all of my loyal readers who joined me for all of my law school adventures!
I graduated in May, so I'm obviously not a "student blogger" anymore, but there were so many of you who followed my blog throughout my three years of law school, and I felt you deserved an update on my post-law school life. (Yes, there IS life after law school!)
I took the Michigan Bar exam in July. Not to put too fine a point on it, yes, it is as bad as everyone says. The good news though? I passed! I am now a licensed member of the State Bar of Michigan.
After the Bar, I did not have a job lined up, so I returned to the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office where I had a terrific mentor who really helped me gain a lot of experience. That same mentor was one of the many internship contacts and professors who went to bat for me during my job search when I needed professional references.
My job search was successful: I accepted a job with the Grand Traverse County Prosecutor's Office as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney. The position is exactly what I had been looking for, so I'm very excited about the opportunity.
Thank you again for everyone for listening to all of my stories and random law school musings over the past three years! I loved being able to share my experiences with you all, and it's so much fun to now be able to look back at my old blog posts and remember that chapter of my life. Best wishes to all of you with your own law school experiences!
