Blog Entry 98
January 17th, 2011
Although school was technically closed, I spent MLK Day working in the Veteran’s Clinic. Even though I was there for almost 9 hours, I can’t believe how fast the day flew by! I was able to talk with a couple of my clients, and really start working on the files.
A couple of highlights for this week:
Wednesday- The monthly SBA meeting will take place this Wednesday. We haven’t had one since before finals, so it’ll probably be a long one. The entire student body is welcome to attend, but attendance is mandatory for elected positions. It’s a great way to stay up to date with what the student body is doing around school… and get some free food!
Thursday- Drinks with the Dean! Last semester it was Dessert with the Dean, but regardless of the name, it is an opportunity to get up close and personal with Dean Semple. It’s essentially set up like a town hall meeting and students can freely bring up topics to discuss with the Dean. This can be compliments, suggestions, criticisms, etc…anything is free game!
Although I have more homework I need to tackle still tonight, I’m taking a much needed break for a quick work out at the gym!
