My weekend in a nutshell:
Friday: Worked over 9 hours then babysat at night (it’s nice because after the kids go to bed I can study)
In the morning I went on a Preservation Detroit Tour which consisted of walking around Detroit for two hours learning about the history of old buildings and how the city has evolved over the past 100 years or more. It was fascinating to hear the history. I’ve lived in metro Detroit for 11 years and never once took the time to learn any history of the city so I appreciated the whole experience and I would recommend it to anyone who is interested.
Afterwards I left for Ann Arbor to spend the day there studying and the night hanging out with friends.
I headed back to Troy and tried to do some studying. I felt sick and my allergies were making my eyes so red and itchy, it was practically impossible to even see!
This morning I woke up at 6 am with my eye sealed shut. I tried calling an urgent care to see if I could go this morning before class and see about getting some prescription eye drops but they don’t open until 10 am this morning and that just won’t work! I have a long day ahead of me with one functioning eye.
