Hello all,
So, that’s that. The school year has ended and we are all left another year wiser.
After our final exam on Tuesday, most of the 1Ls headed over to the Detroiter for a “post-exams happy hour” and then our groups all went their separate ways. My friends and I did some partying that
evening…and then the post-exam laziness seemed to hit. (To put things into perspective: the day of our civpro final, I showed up to school having slept 3.5 hours the night before. I had gotten up at 6am that
morning…I went to bed at 1am that night, 19 hours later.)
Since then, I still can’t seem to stop going, going, going. Wednesday was a complete waste of a day; it involved quite a bit of television watching. Thursday, I met some of the other member of the St. Thomas
More Society at school to clean out our office and then to help with the Baccalaureate mass. It was pretty exciting to see the graduates; that will be me in two more years!
Then, of course, we have Mother’s Day weekend. I’m still working occasionally at Bath and Body Works, and I had a five hour shift on Friday. Saturday, my sister and I went out shopping for Mother’s Day
(my mom’s birthday was last weekend…we weren’t just procrastinating on our Mother’s Day shopping!). Later, I did some grocery shopping and finally started on the laundry that I have been avoiding for quite
awhile now. (My outfit choices have gotten increasingly creative over the past few days…)
I still have a couple weeks until my externship starts. In the meantime, I have quite the “to do” list for myself. I’m also trying to take this time to really catch up on all of the stuff I have been pushing aside during the school year. I have plans to bake, watch movies (I have a free month of Netflix…), hopefully find a decent summer job…

. I might be posting periodically this summer about different tips and such, but I’ll definitely be available by e-mail.
Happy summer!!
