Today was a different sort of Saturday.
This morning, I went to school to assist at one of our prospective student open houses. I enjoy working these sorts of events, meeting prospective students and sharing my insight and experiences. (After that, I headed to the library and spent a couple hours watching a civil procedure review video; I made it through all of this semester’s material, so I’m feeling really good about where I am in my studies for that class for the moment.
After I got home, I went shopping with my sister for a couple hours. Now, here I am, at home eating a wonderfully gourmet dinner of Kraft macaroni and cheese. Once I’m finished, I plan to go to Caribou Coffee (my favorite place to do homework on Saturday nights) to complete my torts reading for Monday. One thing I have definitely had to adjust to in law school was the amount of work necessitating doing homework on weekends, even some Saturday nights. When my workload requires Sunday night homework, I always make sure I at least get out of the house and find a coffee shop or someplace to study. It works.
And on that note, I’m heading out for the evening. Cheerio!
