Well, I made it to the weekend.
This past week was such a weird week. We had our two classes on Monday, two review sessions on Wednesday, and one review session on Thursday…and that was it! Of course until 5pm Wednesday, that time was basically spent on my core concepts assignment, and since then has been property.
Today, I babysat for a few hours in the early afternoon (half day for the kids…) and then headed to school to study with some friends. One of my friends prepared study questions and we played a mock Jeopardy-style game. I have been studying on my own for the past couple days, feeling like I will never get all of this information down, so it was quite a relief when we were playing our game and I actually knew most of the answers! To reward ourselves for our dedication to studying (I daresay, we usually get very distracted…), we went to Pizza Papalis in Greektown for dinner, where we made it a point to discuss anything that didn’t relate to property law or law school in general. It was so nice to talk to them as friends, not just classmates.
My allergies have been in full swing for the past couple days, thanks to the wonders of tree pollen. There’s nothing like a stuffy nose, a good headache, and dry, burning eyes to make studying that much more fun…when I got home tonight, I felt lousy and decided that it would be best if I just spent my time working on anything but property. I ended up cleaning out my new office (aka my old spare bedroom). It only took me an hour or two to get through most of the mess, and now I feel like I have a whole new room. I’m actually excited to start studying in my new space!
I should point out that it’s currently after midnight, and I would love nothing more than to go to bed right now…
