February 6th, 2010
It’s a gloomy Tuesday, and that seems to be reflected in the moods of my classmates. I think we’re all just tired and stressed out (it appears that no one else was very productive this past weekend either), some of us are dealing with allergies, and we are all just willing May 4 to arrive sooner. (Four weeks from today!)
Last night, my Contracts reading went by pretty quickly and then I rewarded myself with a seven and a half mile bike ride. I had wanted to get Wednesday’s Property reading finished last night, but I ended up with a bad headache. I was trying to figure out why I have been getting such bad and frequent headaches lately, and the only answer I have come up with is stress. I certainly hope this isn’t going to be a constant part of my life for the next month…headaches make homework practically impossible. (Although, based on the strict standard of “impossibility” that we discussed in Contracts today, I have to admit that “impossible” might be too strong of a word in this case. Maybe just challenging…)
Today will hopefully be a productive day. I’m not babysitting at all this week (it’s their spring break…), so I have the whole afternoon to myself. I have Property reading to do and I want to get a solid draft of my ALTA assignment completed. Ideally I can get ahead on reading, but I am all about creating manageable goals, so let’s just leave it with those two items.
If I remember correctly, some of you who have already been admitted had to make your decision on where to place your first deposit by April 1. However, if you have a later deadline, or if you placed deposits at more than one school, and are having difficulty deciding between schools, feel free to send me an e-mail with any questions you might have ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Obviously, I am very pleased with my choice of UDM Law, but I went through quite the process before arriving at my decision and would be happy to share some of my considerations. Basically, anything you think is too weird or trivial to ask the admissions staff, chances are I wondered the same thing at some point…and would be happy to answer that question or concern for you.
Cheers!
