It’s a beautiful Monday…and here I am sitting inside.

Of course, with the beautiful weather comes obnoxious, noisy behavior from my neighbors at all hours of the night. On any given night, I can hear expressway traffic and train whistles from my bedroom, and I can deal with a little noise. However, when you add loud cars, slamming doors and screaming teenagers between the hours of midnight and 3am…let’s just say I am not a happy camper. I’ve been trying to get more sleep, not less…

This week is going to be a pretty busy week. In addition to the regular reading, we also have our final ALTA assignment to complete for Sunday at 5pm and for those who choose to try out, Moot Court Board of Advocates applications are due by this Friday. Beyond that, based on my studying schedule for the semester, I need to get one entire outline completed by the end of the week. Of course, this is made increasingly difficult now that the weather is beautiful and motivation has gone out the window. (To illustrate this point, during my two and a half hour break, I was supposed to do a quick blog post and then complete my contracts reading. At this point in my post, I only have an hour left before class…)

Anyhow, nothing overly exciting to report. I should probably return to my contracts reading...I want to be able to go running or something when I get home.

Meagan is a May 2012 graduate of UDM Law. She was admitted to the Michigan Bar in November, and she recently joined the Grand Traverse County Prosecutor’s Office as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney.

During law school, Meagan was active around the School of Law as the Law Review's Executive Editor of Outside Articles and the Vice-President of the St. Thomas More Society. She participated in the Criminal Trial Clinic, and took advantage of two internships with the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office and a summer internship with Judge Stephen Murphy of the Eastern District of Michigan.

In her free time, Meagan also serves as a member of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, enjoys tap dancing, and can't resist reading a good book.
