I made it to Friday!
Today was quite the abnormal Friday. We had a slightly shortened property class this morning (apparently Professor Dodge also wanted to go to the educational workshop that Professor Goldman, my civpro professor, was attending…) and then I was done. At 10:15am. I didn’t know what to do with myself! I ended up going to Panera to get some lunch and work on my ALTA assignment, had a doctor’s appointment, took my dog on a special walk for his birthday (he’s three today!), did some laundry, took a nap, ate dinner, and now here I am typing this post. I am planning to be quite the party animal tonight: I rented some movies and am planning to work on some venue problems for civil procedure and finish up my laundry (laundry never seems to get done during the week…). I am hoping to get to bed early tonight; the weeks are so draining.
There was once a time in my life where I lived for having fun on the weekends…now, weekends are usually more about homework, house work, and catching up on my sleep, which, when you think about it, can be really fun, I guess.
In my first post, I mentioned that I thought the workload would really pick up starting this weekend…and it seems I was right. Based on what I’ve heard from the people in my section, this seems to be the weekend for outlining, watching BarBri videos in the library, getting crazily ahead on reading, starting practice exams, and finishing up the ALTA client letter. I myself, Queen of Procrastination, have plans to accomplish quite a bit this weekend. If there’s one thing I’ve learned so far, it’s that time management is crucial to doing well. I highly recommend taking time now, while your workload is presumably more manageable (whatever it is you are currently doing), to figure out what works for you.
I hope this weekend is finding everyone well, enjoy!
