It’s Election Day at the law school.
Today is the much anticipated SBA (Student Bar Association) executive board election. The stakes are pretty high: the President of the SBA gets a full scholarship, and the other officers receive some sort of scholarship as well. I haven’t seen this sort of campaigning since the Obama/McCain election…and maybe not even then. There was quite the disagreement this year about how SBA funds were allocated to different organizations, and that seems to be the big campaign issue. Candidates arguing about how money is spent, now that’s a new one…
Although Mondays are my late nights (where I don’t get home until 6pm), last night was pretty productive. I made dinner, read about fifty pages for Contracts (which was actually pretty interesting…although we did have a fair amount of really old English cases, those are the worst), watched some television (it was the conclusion of the big two-part Castle event; it was absolutely excellent), and got to bed at a reasonable time.
Today, I have Contracts, ALTA and a CivPro review session. (Oh, and voting in there somewhere…) After that, I have babysitting, reading for Property, and hopefully another “early to bed” sort of night. I have to admit though, as tired as I have been, these bright and sunny mornings are pretty uplifting; it’s so much easier to get up in the morning when it actually looks like morning.
Rumor has it that we are supposed to have weather in the 70s by the end of the week. I’ve got my fingers crossed…
