This morning I woke up to a blizzard outside and although the majority of schools in the state were closed, UDM was up and running. Although only about half to 2/3 of my class showed up, I’m glad I attended because we flew through quite a bit of material today.
This week we have our ALTA conferences to spend some one on one time with our professor to discuss the brief we are currently working on. It’s really nice having a half hour to go through my paper and receive some good feedback (although now I have a weekend full of revising to do).
Yesterday I went to a lecture about Employment in Health Law. The school brought in two practicing health law attorneys plus a professor at our school who specializes in the field to have a panel, tell us about the field, and have a Q and A session. It was informative and exciting to hear about one field which they claimed is “recession proof”. Although I don’t know for sure what area of the law I am interested in, health law is definitely on my short list.
Now it is time to watch American Idol…it’s group night in Hollywood week!
