February 9th, 2010
Well, I more or less survived the craziness that was my Monday. As a result of my trip to the dentist, I found out that I have a cavity (as a result of my mistaken understanding that chewing sugar-free gum was a harmless habit…), so I get to visit my friend the dentist again next Wednesday for a filling. Lucky me.

Today was an unusual day. We have ALTA conferences this week, where we each meet with our ALTA professors for a half hour to discuss our papers. Our next assignment is to take our first drafts, revise them and add additional arguments, so it is really valuable to have the opportunity to receive one-on-one feedback on our original drafts. As a result of our conferences, we do not have our regularly scheduled ALTA classes. Because I still had my morning contracts class and my afternoon civpro review, I had a lengthy break. It was definitely nice to have that extra free time, even if I was stuck on campus. (I did brave the snow to get lunch at the RenCen…brr!)

After that, I had an easy afternoon of babysitting (all of their afternoon activities were cancelled due to the snow) and then it was home to eat dinner and finish my property reading for tomorrow. I have a headache at the moment that won’t seem to go away, so reading is the last thing I want to do. I really need to just finish it so that I can go to bed…thank goodness tomorrow’s Wednesday and class doesn’t start until noon! (I’m also glad I won’t have to deal with rush hour traffic during my snowy drive in tomorrow. Ideally, school will just be closed tomorrow if it’s bad…but we’re big kids now, so a snow day is pretty unlikely.)

Drive safely in this Michigan weather mess!
