This week has been long and exhausting but I found time to giggle some.
During finals time, I'm exhausted from keeping up with a full and busy semester. This semester I anticipated a light exam schedule because that's the way that I planned it. I have one take home final for my Conflicts of Lawscourse and a paper due for French Law. Initially, I anticipated being done with the paper and only having the final to do. It turned out, that we were given the paper later in the semester which is causing me to switch back and forth between the take home exam and the final paper. Sometimes, I don’t feel like I'm making as much progress as I want – nonetheless, I forge ahead.
Sometimes doing something out of the norm helps me catch my second wind. Today, my Conflicts of Laws Professor and his wife hosted an end of the year party. It was a pleasure to attend because I was able to step back from all my responsibilities for an hour or so and mingle and acquaint myself with classmates whom I didn't have a chance to get to know during the semester. We shared some stories about life generally and that of law school. We also shared many laughs –which I needed.
No matter how deep or in the thick of something that we are, it's always good to take a step back and just enjoy life. Enjoy the people that you see in your comings and goings and mostly important is just to laugh as much as possible. The law is serious and if I'm not careful, the seriousness will try to consume my personality. So, I'm learning to keep laughing – at least get a good LOL once per day.
