Hello from the practically abandoned law building.
Today is Friday. On Fridays most of the 2Ls and 3Ls don’t have class…as such, we’re already at a reduced capacity.
Then, when you consider that the two other day sections of 1Ls have their classes earlier, you basically end up with our section waiting around during our hour and a half break and then leaving to a practically empty parking lot (and we get to park in the main lot on Fridays!) when we have finished class at 2:30. It’s actually quite relaxing.
Yesterday was relatively uneventful, contracts, lunch at the RenCen and then ALTA. After that, I babysat, came home and ate dinner, watched the Deep End and did some homework.
Today we had civil procedure and we will end our week with property. After that, I have big plans to take a nice nap and then get working on my ALTA paper due on Sunday at 5pm. I have my paper outlined and I have drafted a couple of my arguments, but it still needs quite a bit of work. So far, I’m at four pages of not-the-best writing and I should be at about ten pages of really good writing. I wanted to get some of it written while at school today, but I’m far too distractable at the moment to focus on anything of that magnitude.
Other plans for the weekend include probably dinner out with my mom and potentially going to the opera tomorrow. My sister wants to be an opera singer, and I’m not sure I can really appreciate it at all; some of my friends are going and invited me along. It’s apparently relatively short and in English, so hopefully I will be able to follow along and get into it. I’ll let you know.
Have a wonderful and relaxing weekend!
