It’s Friday! It took extra long to get to school this morning because the roads were so bad with all of the snow but I made it to school with 15 minutes to kill before class started.  Just enough time to get a good seat in the first day of our new class Core Concepts.  For the most part, all of our classes are a yearlong with the exception of Torts (which we had the first semester) and Core Concepts (which we have now).

For ALTA, we received our assignment for our first memorandum of law (also known as a brief) and moot court problem.  Right now we are in the researching phase and our professor said we should spend 50 hours this weekend reading and researching.  Wait; are there 50 hours in a weekend to read?? What about the four other classes I have? We will use this problem in March to compete against each other in UDM yearly 1L Moot Court Competition.  This will be our first attempt at oral arguments.  It will be very exciting; but we have a lot of work ahead of us before we get there!
