Today was a pretty decent day.
I didn’t have class until noon, so I was able to sleep in, pick up some Panera on my way to school and then do some reading before Core Concepts. Between classes, I tried to get a financial aid problem resolved (the person I need to talk to should be in tomorrow; it’s really convenient to have our own financial aid office on the law campus, but in the first couple weeks of school, it gets pretty busy with everyone trying to get their money matters squared away) and then proceeded to Property. Our Property class has been pretty slow moving, as we all try to grasp assignability and divisibility of easements (yes, that confused face is pretty warranted).
Later, I went to dinner with my mom, did a bit of cleaning and worked on my ALTA argument outline. Our ALTA class is cancelled tomorrow because my professor has a funeral to attend; we have a make-up class on Friday, leaving my ALTA section with just one class tomorrow, Contracts. I’m pretty excited about Contracts tomorrow; we are going over our first semester final exams…which means I finally get my grade for that exam!
Remember how I mentioned the waiting games of law school? Waiting for grades is another game we play…I am still waiting on three of my five first semester grades. According to one of my professors, the new (this school year) online grading system doesn’t support anonymous grading (which we have for all classes except ALTA), so it’s causing some delay for the registrar’s office in getting our grades compiled. I think we’re all getting pretty anxious…hopefully they are able to streamline the process better for next semester.
