Career Services Office (CSO)

The CSO assists students and alumni in embarking on successful and rewarding careers and obtaining employment by exploring their individual goals and interests; developing realistic expectations about the legal job market; identifying opportunities for summer and permanent employment; and, preparing for and conducting a job search.  The CSO is committed to providing comprehensive services to all students and graduates regardless of career objectives, GPA, class ranking, or any other criteria.

Career Connect is UDM Law's comprehensive, web-based career services management database and serves as destination central for all matters concerning recruitment, career planning and professional development for UDM Law students, alumni and employers.  Students and Alumni may access Career Connect to apply to local and national job postings*, search employer contact information to create tailored application materials, complete personal profiles indicating geographic and practice areas of interest, post resumes, which can then be searched by employers, access CSO publications and past presentations, register for CSO events, and request an appointment with a CSO counselor.  Employers may use Career Connect to post positions, schedule on-campus interviews, review student resumes, and maintain a student- and alumni-viewable profile.

March 4, 2015 - McElroy Lecture on Law and Religion - UDM Law Campus

Wednesday, March 4, 2015 - 5:00 pm

Our annual McElroy Lecture provides a forum for prominent thinkers and leaders to address fundamental issues of law, religion, and society.  It seeks to educate students, legal professionals, and the public on a variety of questions related to moral philosophy, freedom of conscience, the interaction of legal and religious institutions, and the role of religion in public life.  Its goal is to encourage discussion of these issues in our community and deepen our understanding of them.  This year's lecturer is Professor Nelson Tebbe of Brooklyn Law School.  The lecture will be held on Wednesday, March 4, from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. in Room 226 of the School of Law, followed by a complimentary reception in the atrium.
