Employment Statistics 2014

The chart below reflects the Class of 2014's employment status as of March 15, 2015 as reported to the American Bar Association (ABA) and National Association for Law Placement (NALP).  This employment data includes graduates from December of the preceding year as well as May and July graduates for the year noted.  For example, the Class of 2014 includes December 2013, May 2014 and July 2014 graduates in UDM Law's JDJD/MBA, and Canadian & American Dual JD programs.

Please note that graduates employed in full-time, short-term, bar passage required positions include those who are "articling."  The Law Society of Upper Canada requires completion of a 10-month post-graduation articling term as a condition of licensure to practice in Ontario, Canada.  Accordingly, most graduates articling in Canada are in short-term positions (lasting less than 12 months) by definition.  35 of the 37 graduates employed in full-time, short-term positions as noted on the chart below are articling.

We also provide the ABA Employment Summaries for the Classes of 2011, 2012 , and 2013 with definitions.  In addition, the NALP Summary Reports (partially redacted for privacy) are available for the Classes of 2011, 2012 and 2013.
