PUBLIC INTEREST LAW FELLOWSHIPS AWARDED

University of Detroit Mercy School of Law has awarded three fellowships for law students to serve during the summer months in areas of public service. The fellowships were funded through two successful events: the Voice for Justice Auction and the 5K Race for Justice.  This year's fellows are:

• Jessica R. Cheaib, who is an intern with the Misdemeanor Defenders Office in Detroit

• Edward F. Martell, who is working as a law clerk with the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia

• Lauren C. Rose, who is working with the Detroit Center for Family Advocacy
