French Scholar Program Information Session
Our courses in Introduction to French Law and European Community Law are taught by our resident scholar from the Universite d'Auvergne in Clermont Ferrand, France. For 30 years UDM Law has had an exchange program in which we send a graduate to teach topics in U.S. Law and we receive a graduate from Clermont Ferrand. One graduating UDM Law student is selected each year for this one-year opportunity. Fluency in French is preferred but not required. Learn more about the program and the application process from the current scholar from the Universite d'Auvergne, Prof. Nicolas Jupillat, the current UDM Law scholar in France, Laura Gibson '13, Assistant Dean Markeisha Miner, and members of the International Programs Committee. Mayor Duggan and Justice Viviano Address the Revitalization of Detroit
The topic for UDM Law's symposium on Monday, April 14, is The Revitalization of Detroit. The format for the event, located in the atrium, will be: 12:00 - 12:30 pm -- Michigan Supreme Court Justice David Viviano delivers his address12:30 - 1:00 pm -- Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan delivers his address1:00 - 2:00 pm -- Open forum Q & A, followed by a networking lunch All UDM Law students, faculty, and staff are invited and encouraged to attend what promises to be a prominent and exciting event presented by the Arab and Chaldean Law Student Association (ACLSA), Student Bar Association, and the American Bar Association Student Section. Preparing for Fall On-Campus Interviews
Learn what you need to do before the semester ends and over the summer to prepare for the on-campus interview application process, particularly the Early Interview Session. A duplicate session will be held at 5 p.m. for evening students and those who cannot attend this session due to scheduling conflicts. A similar session will be held in June for Dual JD candidates. Refreshments will be provided. Advance registration on Career Connect is appreciated.
