McElroy Lecture on Law and Religion
Our annual McElroy Lecture provides a forum for prominent thinkers and leaders to address fundamental issues of law and religion. This year's lecturer is Intisar A. Rabb, a Professor of Law at Harvard Law School and a Director of its Islamic Legal Studies Program. She also holds an appointment as a Professor of History at Harvard University and as a Susan S. and Kenneth L. Wallach Professor at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study. Meet the Judges Reception
Meet judges of the federal and state courts during a casual reception in the Detroit Mercy Law atrium on Tuesday, October 11. The schedule for the evening is: registration from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m.; welcome remarks 6:00 - 6:10 p.m.; group photo 6:10 - 6:15 p.m.; network and meet the judges 6:15 - 7:30 p.m. Detroit Mercy Law is co-sponsoring this event with the Catholic Lawyers Society of Detroit; Incorporated Society of Irish American Lawyers; and the Polish American Lawyers Society. Mentor Jet: Taking Networking to New Heights
The Career Services Office will host Mentor Jet on September 27 from 5:00 - 7:30 p.m. in the atrium of Detroit Mercy Law. At this speed-networking event, attorney mentors engage in five-minute conversations with students to offer advice about how to be successful in law school and in starting their careers.
