Law Firm Program: Toxic Torts (7170)
The course is designed to provide students with a pragmatic and realistic approach to handling a client's toxic exposure scenario. As associates of a firm, students will engage in a simulated case involving toxic exposure at a client's work place, including evaluation of the hazard and the necessary steps to determine the proper advice for the client. The process will include reviewing legal issues, considering potential claims and parties, interviewing experts, evaluating medical conditions, and qualifying a medical, technical or other scientific expert. The work will involve research, drafting, and oral exercises. Ethical considerations will also be reviewed.
