Charisse L. Heath

Professor Heath graduated with honors from Yale University (with a political science major) in 1980 and from Yale Law School in 1983. She has a broad range of corporate and commercial experience having worked with the law firms of Reavis & McGrath and ZImet, Haines, Moss and Friedman in New York, New York, CIba-Geigy Corporation (now known as Novartis Corporation), a major chemical and pharmaceutical company located in New Jersey and headquartered in Switzerland, the Detroit Medical Center and GMAC.

In addition, Professor Heath taught Secured Transactions, Commercial Transactions, and Food and Drug Law at Saint Louis Unversity School of Law in St. Louis, Missouri. Professor Heath teaches Contracts, Secured Transactions and Sales Law at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. Her research interest include Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code, copyright law, and philosophy of law. Professor Heath also studied acting in New York and is currently at work on a screenplay.
