Jennifer Henderson is the Director of the J.D./LL.B Program, UDM’s distinctive joint degree program with the University of Windsor.  In addition to her duties as director, Ms. Henderson teaches Criminal Law, guest lectures on Govermental Immunity in the Torts classes, is a barrister in UDM’s chapter of American Inns of Court, and coaches the State of Michigan Moot Court team.

After graduating from UDM, Director Henderson was an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in Hillsdale County.  From there, she moved to Washington, D.C. to train prosecutors nationwide for the National District Attorneys Association’s (NDAA) training arm, the American Prosecutors Research Institute (APRI).  Ms. Henderson later worked as a staff attorney for the ABA’s Government and Public Sector Lawyers Division. 

Upon returning to Michigan, Director Henderson was in private practice in a small firm.  She practiced family law, criminal defense and civil litigation, with a focus on government immunity issues.  Director Henderson has appeared in the Michigan Supreme Court and the Michigan Court of Appeals, as well as a number of Michigan’s district and circuit courts
