Lois Elizabeth Fielding

Professor Fielding practiced in the law department of Gulf Oil Corporation in Houston, Texas from 1980 to 1985 where she acted as attorney for Gulf marketing operations in the U.S., the Caribbean and Panama. Subsequently, she entered private practice and taught commercial and consumer law courses as an adjunct professor at South Texas College of Law.

Professor Fielding joined the University of Detroit Mercy faculty in 1989 after receiving her LL.M. from the University of Virginia School of Law where she specialized in international law. She received her J.D. with honors from the University of Texas and her B.A. magna cum laude from Rice University.
