Lawrence A. Dubin

Professor Dubin has been on the faculty of the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law since 1975. After graduating from the University of Michigan Law School in 1966, he practiced law with an emphasis on litigation. In 1978, the Michigan Supreme Court appointed Professor Dubin to the Michigan Attorney Grievance Commission, the agency responsible for prosecuting unethical lawyers.
His writing and research has been in the area of legal ethics, trial practice and evidence. Professor Dubin has also received numerous grants for the production of television documentaries concerning the impact of lawyers upon our society. Professor Dubin recently co-authored books on Michigan's ethics code, as well as on the subjects of trial practice and the Michigan Rules of Evidence.
