Callan Pringle Suchyta
Callan Pringle Suchyta passed away December 12, 2006. A graduate of Wayne State Law School in 1956, she spent several years in private practice and then six years establishing the Detroit Bar Association Research Center. In 1970, she came to the University of Detroit Law School where she served as the Director of the Law Library and Assistant Professor of Law, focusing on torts and products liability, and as Assistant Dean of the School of Law. She concluded her tenure at the School in 1979 after being named Professor of the Year. She proceeded to practice law and subsequently resided in Massachusetts, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Texas. She is survived by her husband Leonard Suchyta, ’68.
